SDTWS advances the cause of South Dakota wildlife by recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions through their personal or professional efforts.

Wildlife Professional Award - Presented annually to a wildlife professional who has, over the course of their career, made an outstanding contribution to wildlife management in South Dakota.

Citizens Award - Presented each year to a South Dakota resident who has made a significant contribution to wildlife in the state.

Outstanding Graduate Student Award - M.S. - Presented annually to a graduate student who has demonstrated excellence in the study of wildlife ecology and management.

Outstanding Graduate Student Award - Ph.D. - Presented bi-annually to a graduate student who has demonstrated excellence in the study of wildlife ecology and management.
